DENVER (October 8, 2009) − Brian Bernhard, Legal Services Manager at the law firm
Stern Elkind Curray & Alterman, has been named to the Board of Directors of the
International Paralegal Management Association as the VP of Membership. Bernhard has
over eight years of experience managing legal staff and paralegals in Denver and was
previously with a law firm in San Francisco in a similar role.
Bernhard says, “Paralegals play such a critical role in the operation of a law firm. The
IPMA is a wonderful resource for paralegal managers to broaden their understanding of the
demands on them, and provides education for managing the processes between paralegals
and attorneys. Paralegal managers can help with the facilitation of projects and work flow
within the firm.” Bernhard also says, “I thoroughly enjoy being part of the IPMA and look
forward to contributing to the success of the organization, as well as helping other paralegal
managers who play key roles in law firms, with ideas to work efficiently and weather the
economic downturn.”
The International Paralegal Management Association, formerly known as the Legal Assistant
Management Association, promotes the development, professional standing and visibility of
paralegal management professionals. The association is headquartered in Georgia and has
chapters in the United States and Canada.
