(MEDICAL DOCTOR BY QUALIFICATION) Joined Indian Administrative Service in 1992.

3. Served as District Magistrate of 2 (two) tough Districts (Nalbari and Kokrajhar) in Assam for over 6 years. 4. Served as State Project Director for the World Bank assisted District Primary Education Program (DPEP) for 1 (one) year. 5. Served as Commissioner of Guwahati Municipal Corporation, for 1 (one) year and 3 (three) months. 6. Recent Assignments:Had been looking after Urban Development, specially Guwahati Development Department & Finance Depts for nearly last eight years.(Since December 2004 till October, 2012) in the rank of Commissioner & Secretary. During this period all the Schemes under JNNURM, as well as Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) funded Guwahati Water Supply Scheme and Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded Assam Urban Infrastructure Investment Project (AUIIP), comprising of Drinking Water Supply, Sewerage, Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS), Drainage and Solid Waste Management, spread over Guwahati and Dibrugarh have been conceptualized by the undersigned and the implementation of these projects is presently on going. In addition, I had also been looking after the ADB funded Financial Reforms Project under Finance Department , Govt. of Assam, as Project Director as well as Establishment matters. 7. Present Assignment :Since November 2012 I have been working solely in Finance Dept looking after Expenditure Control, Audit, Establishment as well as Institutional Finance.
