carnival day .The event begin on
17 February each year and it has
more than 180 years of history.

Patras carnival /

Patras carnival l is the

biggest carnival event in
Greece.During the carnival
period ,Patra becomes a city
full of fun! A variety of events
take place all over the city
which includes dances,
parades ,treasure hunts and
exhibitions . Celebrations
end with the closing
ceremony in St.Nicolas with
the burning of the Carnival
king followed by an amazing
firework show!

is a special day of the
carnival that the families
usually cook meat dishes to
eat.

Clean Monday/
Clean Monday marks the

end of Carnival and the

beginning of the Greek Lentthe 40 days fasting until
eastern. Traditionally , this
day we fly kites and we go
out in the nature !
