Welcome Back
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year. My name is Taylor Turske; I am your childs teacher for the year. I plan on having a great year with a lot of learning and hands on activities. As parents of children with disabilities I know there may be some worries, but please know that the children are in excellent hands and will love school! Rules: Raise your hand, do not shout out Keep your hands and feet to yourself Eyes on the person talking Listen carefully to the person talking Complete all tasks in a timely manner Have fun I will also keep in contact with the parents though a journal system. We will write notes throughout the day of topics we believe should be discussed with them. As well the parents can write us note on their Childs behavior at home if it pertains to the class or any other notes they think can be pertinent for us to know.

Fun Fridays

Colleen Cato

My name is Miss Cato; I am a 2013 graduate of Kent State University. This year I am a teaching assistant along with Miss Reynolds. This is also my first year teaching. I cannot wait for the fun to begin!

We will be taking a field trip or community outing every Friday. This is so that your student will have the opportunity to learn life and communications skills with the help of teachers and peers along side of them. We will do various activities such as going to lunch and ordering on their own or going to the grocery store and finding the items we need for our classroom kitchen while staying on a budget. We will also have the fun trips like bowling, seeing a play or movie. The students love these outings it gives them a break from the classroom and work but still allows their minds to grow. The Friday before the trip I will send home a permission slip and details about the trip, the slips will be due the Tuesday before the trip.
