A Separate Peace Soundtrack Assignment Like poetry, song lyrics have a way of examining real-life occurrences in creative and

unusual ways. They speak to their audience in many ways. For this project, you will be asked to find one song whose lyrics relate to A Separate Peace. You must bring in: 1. Printed lyrics of the song. Include the songs title, artist, the title of the album, the record company, and the year of release. (These things can usually be found in a CD booklet or on the web.) 2. CD, MP3 or YouTube link to the song 3. A written explanation (at least one paragraph) of how these lyrics fit with A Separate Peace. WARNING: The relationship between the lyrics and A Separate Peace must be somewhat obvious. Although everything is open to interpretation, if no one gets the connection but you then you need to pick another song. ANOTHER WARNING: All lyrics must be appropriate for school. If you have any doubts about a songs appropriateness, SEE ME!!! I want to see that you put thought and effort into choosing and explaining your song. Also, dont feel as though the speaker of your song has to be a major character (i.e. Gene, Finny, Brinker, Leper, etc.). You are free to use any character you want.
