Ripon Police Officers Association Endorses Manuel Lopez For San Joaquin County Supervisor District 4
Cite his experience as County Administrative Officer as main reason for endorsement

Ripon- Manuel Lopez, the recently retired Chief Administrative Officer for San Joaquin County, today announced that the Ripon Police Officers Association has endorsed his campaign to become the next San Joaquin County Supervisor for District 4.

"We need a partner on the Board of Supervisors we can work with to help keep criminals off our streets and make our neighborhoods as crime free as possible, said association president Scott King. With his experience as San Joaquin County's longest serving Chief Executive Officer, we know that Manuel Lopez has the ability and know how to be just the partner we need. His financial stewardship of the county's tax dollars during the economic downturn we faced ensured that County dollars for public safety stayed at levels required to prevent massive cuts to officers and services. That's why we are endorsing Manuel Lopez to be the next County Supervisor for District 4." Manuel Lopez recently retired in 2013 as the longest serving County Administrative Officer in the history of San Joaquin County Government. As County Administrator, Manuel earned accolades for managing the County through the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, receiving praise from both County Supervisors and labor leaders as he fought to keep county finances steady and cuts to county employees and services minimal. Manuel is a veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Fresno State University. He has been married to his wife Sylvia, for 38 years. Together, they have four children and seven grandchildren, all of whom are proud to call San Joaquin County their home.
