STUDENT INTERVENTIONS IN GENERAL STUDIES: INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECTS AND CREATIVE INITIATIVES March 25th and 26th 2014
All undergraduate students enrolled in coursework in the College of General Studies courses this semester are invited to participate in the 2013-14 Student Conference. We open this call for papers to all the disciplines represented in the College of General Sciences. Presentations can focus on the analysis of literature, language, and culture from an interdisciplinary perspective. Students are also welcome to present work involving disciplines other than English, such as the social and the physical sciences. Also encouraged are proposals for creative initiatives such as creative writing, poetry, drama, and music. There are no restrictions in terms of topic, theme, or format. Guidelines Individual presentations will be 15 minutes in length and in English. Participants must be enrolled in General Studies courses this semester. Participants should present their own work. Participants should identify a supervising professor who will read or assist with the preparation of the presentation. Proposal forms should be turned in at the English Department office on the second floor of AJBR or given to an English professor. Proposal forms must be received by 4 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014.
