WORK EXPERIENCE RESEARCH ASSISTANT 2013 SOMERO LAB, HOPKINS MARINE STATION OF STANFORD Monterey, CA Researched effects of hypoxic upwelling on kelp forest animals. Used a variety of wet lab experiments including BCA Assays, Western Blots, and various enzyme assays to test hypothesizes. Created, built, and then used a full respirometry set up to measure oxygen stress on juvenile rockfish. Responsible for the animal husbandry of over 100 individuals of various species at any given time. Collected animals and data from the field. STANFORD CLIMBING GYM SUPERVISOR Maintain safety and fun in the gym environment. Teach essential safety and climbing skills to participants of all ages. Interface with the public. 2013-present

HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEER TEAM LEADER 2009-2012 SEATTLE AQUARIUM Engaged children and youth in study of marine biology and conservation. Participated in marine biology classes and working trips. Interviewed, recruited, and trained incoming high school volunteers. Created and managed youth social media campaign to engage youth in conservation efforts. Wrote and delivered numerous speeches on behalf of Aquarium youth volunteers at major events.
