Overview of the language Issues in Malay language The future of Malay language

 Normally Malay is brown in skin-colour, of moderate physical build but though and often gentle-mannered (Melati, 2013). History of Malay language is started during the ancient times when Parameswara first came to Temasik. Malacca which is that time a part of Malay archipelago grew quickly and become a melting pot for all traders all over the world. There are over 80 languages are spoken that time.

 After the Malaysia Formation in 16 September 1963, it is agreed by all that the Malay Language is dubbed as national language The Malay language is now are widely spoken to Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatera, and the group of islands south of Singapore.

LEARNING SCIENCE AND MATH IN MALAY

The policy of PPSMI was introduced by the forth Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 2003. It aimed to improve the command of the English language among pupils at primary and secondary schools in Malaysia. The amount of 8 billions are wasted according to Pragalaths study in 2013. In 2012 the announcement of the policy's termination by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is indeed very surprising.

 The issue that came along with this context is that public says the usage of the English languge in Science and Mathematics will challenge the power of Malay language . According to Husin in 2008, those students who think that learning those subject in English more difficult is due to the reason that they themselves do not posses good commands of English.
