Right-click Local Area Network (LAN) or High-Speed Internet Connection that you want to configure and click Properties.

In order to connect the CoCo, you must change to the settings shown in the figure.

Use the navigation keys to highlight Connections and press the Enter Button.
Use the Left/Right navigation keys to highlight Ethernet and press the F5: IP Setup Button.
Use the UP/Down navigation keys to select Specify and IP address. Use the UP/Down navigation keys to move between IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and Default DNS. Press Enter to edit the addresses and enter the addresses shown in the figure. After all the settings are configured, press the OK Button.

Part 3. Connect PC and CoCo via EDM and cross-over Ethernet cable
Connect the PC and CoCo with a cross-over Ethernet cable. Note that a cross-over cable is a specialized Ethernet cable used to connect one computer to another. You can tell it apart from a standard Ethernet cable by the crossover label that should be attached to it. Run the EDM software. EDM will detect the CoCo automatically. Use the mouse to select the CoCo and click Connect. This completes the procedure. At this point the cross-over Ethernet cable connection between PC and CoCo should be established.
