What Is the RAGBRAI?

A respected real estate developer with more than 20 years of experience, Evan Oliff is the president and founder of Preferred Development, Inc. In addition to developing commercial properties, Evan Oliff is an avid cyclist who regularly participates in The Registers Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). An annual seven-day bike ride across Iowa, RAGBRAI is the longest bicycle touring event in the world. Today, RAGBRAI is an annual tradition that involves thousands of volunteers throughout various cities in Iowa. The event draws participants from around the globe. The ride, which is held in July, is coordinated by The Des Moines Register. RAGBRAI is an event designed to support local communities in the state and provide participants with the opportunity to share in a rich tradition. Averaging nearly 470 miles, the route changes each year. The event is supported by eight towns that host overnight stays for riders. RAGBRAI is currently heading into its 42nd year.
