Over spring break I slept until 12pm then got up for track practice at 1pm almost everyday. I spent a couple nights in Johnston with some friends and hung out with a few other friends from school.

by Riley Hayes When driving past the tennis court after school, you may have seen the boys tennis team practicing outside. They started practice in late February and are now in the midst of their competitive season. Im really excited about the season, Isaac Matheny said, I like the players on the team and that makes it fun. The boys will be on the road for awhile, with seven out of their next eight matches being away meets. Their only home meet is April 26 against North Polk. Come on out to the match and cheer the boys on!

The girls tennis team has been practicing since early February. The girls have had open gym about three times a week to get back into the groove. If it is a nice day, they have been outside doing round robin or doubles matches. On rainy days, the girls have been inside lifting weights. Im excited for seeing the results of all the hard work by the girls thus far, says Coach Downs, Our next home meet is April 12. Sydney Hastie, senior, returns for her second year as captain. Katey Gambrel and Claire Smith, juniors, were also named captains for this season. Come out to the girls next meet against Knoxville on April 12 and support all of their hard work.

4) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Bahamas because I want to go scuba diving there.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
DUMB LAWS
by Karlee Cox In Iowa a man with a moustache may never kiss a woman in public. In California it is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale. In Idaho you may not fish on a camels back. In Kansas the state game rule prohibits the use of mules to hunt ducks. In Texas it is illegal to milk another persons cow. In North Dakota it is illegal to lie down and fall asleep with your shoes on. In Hawaii coins are not allowed to be placed in ones ears. In Minnesota a person may not cross state lines with a duck atop his head. In Washington when two trains come to a crossing, neither shall go until the other has passed. In Oregon ice cream may not be eaten on Sundays. Oklahoma will not tolerate anyone taking a bite out of anothers hamburger. In Nevada everyone walking the streets is required to wear a mask. In Florida if an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle.
