Importance of Organizational Behavior in different fields of study

Organization Behavior (OB): It studies the impact of structure, individual and group behavior within an organization, in order to apply these to improve effectiveness of that organization. Organization Behavior is linked and is important in major disciplines like Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Political sciences, Social psychology, of which some are explained below.

Psychology: It is a science which study, measure, explain and sometimes try to change the
behavior of Humans. If we link psychology with OB, in sociology we study some factors like motivation, learning, behavior like boredom, fatigue and other work condition which effects the efficiency of work in an organization, so it is the behavior of individuals toward their work, so it also linked with OB.

Sociology: Social system is studied by sociology; it studies peoples relation in their society
with their fellows, their way of life, In OB we study the behavior in an organization, like work team, communication, conflicts that are related topic of OB, so sociology has also contribution with OB.

Anthropology: In anthropology the humans culture and their development is studied, main
focuses is on culture and environments, they help to know different behaviors attitudes values among people in different locations, so it is also linked with OB because of organization culture.

Political sciences: it studies of individual and group with in the political environment, which
includes conflicts and intra-organizational political power, so these factors, is a part of organizational structure which is related with organizational behavior.
