Parts of a Communicative Lesson

Stage 1
Teacher gives a short presentation of a reading or vocabulary point. Teacher then gives students opportunity to practice the point in a controlled exercise.

Stage 2
Students carry out the controlled exercise while Teacher monitors and intervenes where appropriate .

Stage 3
Students perform varied activities. Teacher monitors and notes errors and interesting points. Teacher intervenes only when asked or when absolutely necessary.
