    What Were Learning


    Reading: We will continue to work on recounting stories and understanding their structure (beginning, middle, end). Language Arts: We will work on identifying shades of meaning of adjectives and verbs (big, huge, gigantic). Spelling Words: different, thought, everything, themselves, about, there, their, theyre, does, enough (We are reviewing some words that are still frequently misspelled.)

    Bizzy spent the week withCharlie! I wonder who he will go home with this weekend.

    Writing: We will continue writing opinion pieces about some of our favorite things, including books. They must start with an introduction, state our opinion, have reasons to support it, and a closing to wrap it up. Math: We will continue to focus on solving one- and twostep story problems for the rest of this quarter. We will also continue working on adding 3 and 4 addends. We will be reviewing previously taught concepts through Math Centers. Science: We are learning about the sun, moon, and stars.
