Third Grade News: February

We are learning: Reading: In reading we are learning about main idea and details. Students are reading passages and they have to determine what the passage in mostly about (main idea) and find details that support that. Writing: In writing we are learning all about service animals. Students are learning how to write information pieces. Students will learn how to gather facts (through research) on a topic and write about it (through an essay or report) Math: In math we are learning how to multiple and divide numbers. Students will learn how these two are related. Students will also be focusing on mental math. Students will need to now how to multiple and divide in their heads. Social Studies: In social studies we are ending our culture unit! Students will be constructing their portfolios and presenting them at our celebration of learning on the "#th! $lease try and attend. Science: In science we are learning all about science fair e%periments. Students will have to choose an e%periment to complete with a partner and then do it& write about it& and report about it at the district science fair.
