Middle School Robotics YMCPA has a robust and competitive middle school robotics team that is a regular champion in both regional and national competitions. UIL Academics Though Young Mens does not offer UIL Athletics at the high school level, it does compete in all UIL Academic subject areas. EMERGE Program The EMERGE Program is part of an HISD initiative to help high performing students gain admittance and degrees from top tier universities across the United States. High school students are chosen through an intensive application process, and those who gain acceptance participate in a rigorous 4year program aimed at building academic and interpersonal skills.
