My name is Kate Knochel and I am a Portland State Counseling Intern working under the supervision of Jenelle Menzia-Murphy. Currently, a small group is being formed for 2nd grade students. In this group, we will be focusing on a number of social and emotional skills. This group will use yoga based stratgies to improve self-control, communication, self-esteem, focus, and teamwork. We will meet approximately once a week during the school day. In addition to yoga, activities in the group will games, relaxaion, and commication practice. Your child, _____________________________, is invited to participate in the group. The group will meet approximately 6-7 times total.
