4097-07 Partnership Academy STATEMENT OF ASSURANCE

This letter serves as a Statement of Assurance that the areas identified below concerning Partnership Academys Special Education program have been evaluated and rectified as per the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) approved by MDE. In reference to 34 CFR 300.323 When IEPs must be in effect, all initial IEPs were reviewed to ensure that initial IEP meetings and development of IEPs were held within 30 days of the evaluation meeting. From October through December 2013, all IEPs were reviewed to ensure 100% compliance with the required timelines. The MARSS numbers of the files reviewed to ensure 100% compliance with CFR 300.323 When IEPs must be in effect were: #4097000000907; #0271000124513; #0271000128845; #4097000000939; #4097000000716; In reference to 34 CFR 300.503 Prior notice by the public agency; content of notice, all prior written notices were reviewed to ensure sufficient detail of action being proposed or refused, the reason for the proposed action, procedural safeguards available, and state complaint procedures, including how to file a complaint. The contents of the prior written notice were also reviewed to ensure that the contents were provided in the native language of the parents. From October 2013 through February 2014, a total of 2 files per case manager, totaling 6 records, were reviewed to ensure 100% compliance with the required components of the prior written notice.

R. 3525.2550 Conduct before evaluation, a check of the timeline requirements for conducting evaluations not to exceed 30 school days from the date the district receives parental permission for conducting the evaluation or the expiration of 14-calendar day parental response time in cases other than an initial evaluation occurs during Monday Child Study meetings.
