It has been my pleasure to serve as educational supervisor for Melody Ellsworth during her Early Childhood Practicum (Ed. 462) and Jr. Experience (Ed. 303) at Missouri Western University. Melody is a very detailed-oriented person, as is evidenced by observing her teaching the

comprehensive unit that she developed for 6th grade students on "Light and Sound". This unit of instruction contained a five day lesson plan with objectives and activities that closely aligned with state standards and SJSDcurriculum guidelines. Appropriate actively engage students and provide opportunities activities were designed to for higher level thinking skills as well. I was

most impressed with her collection of data, both pre and post testing, and her analysis of this data. Her cooperating teacher also praised her delivery of the unit to the students. Melody is well organized and possesses good time management skills. She has held down two jobs while attending college this past year and has maintained honor roll status. This, I believe, demonstrates her quality work ethic and dedication to achieving her goals. Melody is a "team" player and will give her best effort each and every day.
