SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Dear Parent,
These applications are in the school counselors office at your childs school. Please have
your child pick up and complete the application and mail (hand delivered applications
will not be accepted) to:

Deadline date is: MARCH 17, 2014. This is not a postmark date. We must have
received the application by this date. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
APPLICATIONS NOT COMPLETED IN FULL WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
There will a dinner for the scholarship recipients on May 5, 2014, at Michaels Casual
Dining restaurant located at 925 Congress Pkwy N., Athens, TN (former Athens Diner
location). Women United in Community Service will pay for the recipient and one (1)

Eligibility Requirements
High school senior of African American heritage.
Enrolled in high school in one of the following Schools: McMinn County or McMinn
Central.
Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Previously submitted an application to one (1) or more accredited colleges / universities
to pursue studies in the fall. Applicant must receive a regular education diploma.
This Application packet must be completed in full to include the following:
