Potential RF Issue
BCCH Frequency used in MAL list Some segments in the network using same BCCH Frequency Value of TSC parameter is same as BCC value
2 3
One primary failure occurrence happens when the site contains a border cell between two BSCs. If the cell is on the BSC boarder then 5
Review MAL list and confirm no (or yes?) BCCH Freq used in MAL list Review adjacent sites of the alarm triggered site (up to 2nd tier) and confirm no (or yes?) same BCCH Freq used (or if there is same BCCH freq used, ensure it is not potentially covering the same area) Review TSC/BCC value
Review and check if theres co-channel/adjacency interference in the area (up to 2nd tier), check UL/DL Interference0-4
check the neighbor settings between the BSC bordered cells. An example of an incorrect setting which will cause the 7745 failure is the FREQ setting. The frequency of neighboring cells is a specific parameter which is part of the adjacent cell settings within command type ZEA_. The frequency setting is mandatory for inter BSC adjacencies
Action if yes
Check with Schema SPOC (currently its Van) for to select another freq (instead of using BCCH freq) for the MAL list. Check with Schema SPOC (currently its Van) for to select another freq for the BCCH. Send FT for correction of TSC/BCC value
Action if no
Proceed to item 2
If theres co-channel/adjacency interference, Check with Schema SPOC (currently its Van) for to select another freq. If no co-channel/adjacency interference, trigger GT for If no interference interference tracking. observed, proceed to item 5
Trigger QFT to NOD for troubleshoot/isolation. Insert in QFT the checklist (item 1-5) conducted by RNP.
