10 Quality Goals for Managers Ive listed 10 goals that I personally feel one should strive for when

seeking to become a professional, people person manager.

!ee "ossibilities # Good Managers know how to bring out the best in others. They look for possibilities that perhaps no one else can see. $now the !tructure # Know the structure of the company the guidelines, limitations and policies. A good manager needs to be up-todate on what the current procedures are in the company so they can gi e employees good, clear e!pectations. %emember& !mall 'ctions (ount) # "ittle drops of water make the mighty ocean, and little deeds of kindness act as glue that holds the pu##le pieces together. $ach time you go out of your way to do something nice for another, it is noticed, and you are respected that much more. *e (reative #A creati e manager separates a competent manager from an e!ceptional one. %reati ity adds that special spark to otherwise mundane responsibilities and pro&ects, and can act as an inspirational tool for co-workers and other employees. (ommit # %ommit not only to the success of your team's pro&ect, but to your team members as well. (emember) your le el of commitment is contagious. *e +,uman # *on' let your authority create a gap between you and the members of your team. There is nothing wrong with being yourself. +e someone your team members can look up to. Gain respect, loyalty and a good connection that way. !tay -ersatile # There is always room for fle!ibility and ersatility. +e open to sudden changes and others suggestions e en if they are a &unior. .hink back # Think back to how things would be for you if you were in their place. ,ow would you want your manager to be- +e that manager. ,ave funs while you work # A good manager knows how to ha e a good balance between being professional at work and ha ing fun in the process. .' e known this /uality to work wonders in combating attrition as well0 +ut don't forget, there is a ery fine line between ha ing fun while your work and still staying focused. *e a role model # (emember that you are the leader for the people who work under you.
