An addition is a mathematical process in which you put two or more numbers together to obtain a higher number. The symbol of addition is :

You can say:

one plus one When you have the result, you can use the symbol:

+ 1+1

And you can say

One plus one equals two

= 1 + 1 =
1
one plus two

One plus two equals three

+2 1 + 2 = 5 + 6
Five plus six

Five plus six equals eleven

+ 6 = 11
