Common Application for Tatissa Zunguze Admissions Officer: It is without reservation that I recommend Tatissa Zunguze to you. Tatissa is a hardworking student with high test scores and a high grade point average. She is a leader in her class and in our school. We attract some of the best and brightest students who expand their horizons while here at the Academy for Math, Engineering and Science (AMES). Tatissa has set her sights high here at AMES and has succeeded in every endeavor she has been involved in. We are an early college charter school that strives to prepare our diverse student body for success in college and post-secondary education. Tatissa has consistently expanded her horizons to meet our mission as her personal goal. She has completed Advance Placement classes, she has taken many of our university course offerings, and she has participated in a variety of activities here at AMES. She also has been active as a leader both in our building and outside the school setting. As a school principal I write a lot of recommendations but few students have the holistic background that Tatissa presents. Tatissa is a well-rounded student and an even better person. She has participated in student council, Interact Club, HOSA/Future Doctors Club, and as our student lead on the clean-up crew the Pod Squad. She works after school and has participated in volunteer and service learning projects. She volunteers at the Maliheh Free Clinic. She is a team lead for our FIRST Robotics program and is the President of our Interact club. She plans to complete a Bachelors degree followed by a medical degree to work in the field of infectious diseases. Tatissa has always been a positive source of energy at AMES. She is a high achieving student who has remained kind and welcoming to all her fellow students. She has positive role models in her home and in her life. She will succeed in whatever endeavor she will become involved in. When she combines her academic and career paths with one of her passions I believe she will change the world for the better. It is up to the university and the program within a university to define and to captivate that passion. When that passion and magic happens you will not regret considering Tatissa Zunguze as one of your students. I do consider her one of our model students and recommend her as a candidate for your university. Sincerely,

Brett T. Wilson, Principal/CEO Academy for Math, Engineering and Science
