interesting facts is that a cough can go as fast as 64 miles per hour, sending particles and droplets zooming out when you cough. Furthermore, when you cough, germs zoom out six feet in front of you. If it contains bacteria or viruses, that means you could affect the people around you. That's why adults tell their kids to cover their mouth when they cough. Another intriguing fact is, coughing is a natural reex that protects your lungs. Coughing is the body's way of removing foreign material or mucus (a slimy substance), that can be found in the lungs and upper airway. When the airway gets irritated, that's when you cough. Also, coughing helps prevent infections. Nonetheless, there are many other causes about coughing. One kind of coughing is called productive cough. A productive cough is when the throat clears mucus from its lungs. Some other causes of productive coughing are, viral illnesses, infections, chronic lung disease, stomach acid, nasal discharge and smoking.
