From Slope to Mountain In Pre-algebra, we have been learning how to form and use slope under the topic

of linear functions. In order to find the slope of a line, you must find two points on the line. Before you can do this, you take the y-intercept and graph that point. Next, you take the slope and go up and over the number of which it says. Positives go up and to the right, while negatives go down and to the left. The number on top is the number of spaces you move up or down. A number on the bottom is the number of spaces you move left or right. Continuing on, you should label the first set as x1 on the x and y1 on the y. Then, label the second set as x2 and y2. Now write the values of y1 minus y2 over x1 minus x2. If possible, simplify the fraction. I was very successful in doing the review problems 13, 15, and 17 because I got them all correct. How I might use what I have learned from this situation or task is for the preparation of climbing a mountain. I would take two points and use them to find the slope. The reason I would do this would be so I would know how steep the mountain is. All in all, I enjoy finding slope and the topic of linear functions.
