Louisiana Statewide Survey

Prepared for John Bel Edwards Campaign February 2014

Methodology Six hundred likely voters in Louisiana were interviewed in a sample taken February 10 12, 2014. The voters were screened for their likelihood of voting in the 2015 Gubernatorial election. The sample was balanced for all known demographic factors. The margin of error for this survey is a +/- 4.2%, with a 95% level of confidence.

This far from the election, people dont always know a lot about the candidates. So I am going to read you a little information about one of the candidates and then ask you for your opinion. John Bel Edwards is a white male Democrat from Amite, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, served eight years as an Army Ranger, earned the rank of Captain, and commanded a rifle company in the 82nd Airborne Division. For the past six years John Bel Edwards has served as a State Representative with a ProLife voting record and has strongly supported the second amendment, with an A rating

from the NRA. John Bel Edwards has strongly opposed Governor Jindal's cuts to healthcare and public education, privatizing of prisons and hospitals, and efforts to increase Louisiana's sales taxes to the highest in the nation.
