Method 1. Mix all ingredients for the marinade. Make light slits into the knife. 2. Keep the chicken pieces in a mixing bowl. 3. Sprinkle salt on the chicken pieces and the marinade and mix with your fingers so that the marinade mixes with the chicken pieces. Leave aside for 15 mins. Heat the tawa and place the chicken pieces on the tawa and cook on low fire. Keep adding the marinade a little at a time, stirring and mixing into the chicken from time to time. Turn the chicken pieces once or twice. Now, add the methi leaves and continue to cook and stir on low fire. Once the leaves have wilted add the spices. At this stage, you could add 1 tbsp. of water and use a lid to cover the chicken so that the spices are cooked. Continue to cook on low fire till the chicken pieces are tender and all the marinade should have been used up while cooking the chicken. Enjoy with parathas or even puris.
