Seven years ago I was asked to teach Religious Education to elementary age children at St. Marys in Temple, I decided to tak e on this challenge, and while doing so, I found my calling and passion-TEACHING! I decided to follow my heart and did a career change five years ago. Today my enthusiasm for teaching and learning keeps growing! EXPERIENCE TISD - Scott Elementary, Temple Texas Library Aide and Computer Aide 05/2009-11/2013 Assist students in K-5th with selecting library books, taught library skills, assisted with Library inventory, catalog new books, set up and ran the scholastic book fairs two a year, raised money through the book fairs for new books, and attended Librarian training. In charge of AR store, points, and reports Taught Art classes for grades K-5th did lesson plans for each grade level and displayed work art. Computer Lab Aide, attended training, entered all students name in database for different programs, issued passwords and IDs from technology department, taught basic computer skills. Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays, Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments, Administered the TAKS and STAR test in small group setting, Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports, Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students of small Groups, Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom, Help keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students, Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance, Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned, Worked as RTI teacher, working with students in small groups with reading, math and science, followed teachers lesson plans daily. Worked Lunch duties, worked office morning duties, assisted staff, parents, and students as needed, In charge of turning in Scottie news to be submitted in local news paper weekly, and in charge of Sunshine Committee, planning events for staff. TISD- Summer School, Temple Texas Aide 2012 and 2013 th K-5 assisted teachers in classroom learning by working in small groups ran the Incentive program, lunch duty and other duties assigned.
