Course Code: COM 403 Duration: Total Credit Hours 45 Sessions: 15 Course Description: This course has been designed to enable students to develop skills in the areas of interpersonal communication, as well as personal management. After completion of this course students would have a better understanding of interpersonal relationships and the roles that communication plays in the relationships. The course would also facilitate gainful employment and sustainability of employment. Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this course students will be able to: a) demonstrate understanding of the elements of interpersonal perception; b) describe the complexity of the communication process; c) Communicate more confidently and more effectively in interpersonal situations; d) listen empathetically; e) apply effective communication skills in conflict situations; f) Communicate competently with difficult people; g) Recognize and respond appropriately to non-verbal messages.
