Fast and furious 6- opening sequence

The director/ producer have tried to engage the audience by showing short fast clips of cars driving, different action shots establish the genre and what the movie is likely to be about. The camera angle is often a close up and doesnt last any more than two seconds which is adding to the speed and the action of the movie. The upbeat music playing over the top and the genre that it is in also stereotypes that the movie is aimed at. This hooks in the audience which is mostly aimed at the male gender. Mulveys male gaze is used which helps appeal to the male audience and engage them on the film as shown here where a female is walking in a bikini. This scene is necessary in explaining the story line but is put in for the male audiences pleasure. In the opening sequence to this film it is just recapping what has happened in all of the previous fast and furious movies. This builds up mystery as there are many un-answered clips. Straight away from this opening sequence it is obvious the propps character spheres is used, it is represented by the expressions and the stereotypical look of some of the characters. The font is unique; it is very masculine and corresponds with the main theme of the movie being fast cars. The setting of the film is established by the quick shots of cars racing through the cities with bright lights.
