Lesson Cycle

Purpose /Objective: TLW recognize, memorize and translate and pronounce words in Spanish. Anticipatory Set (focus): Practice writing each of the days of the week in Spanish (written on the board or slide).

Closure: Tell me what you learned today or how you will use this new vocabulary.

Independent Practice: Fill-inthe-blank activity to practice vocabulary learned.

Input: Provide students with the list of vocabulary words they will learn today.

Checking for Understanding (CFU): Ask questions on how the student will use the words and its pronuciation.

Modeling (show): Provide visuals of the words and explanation on how to pronounce them and when to use them. Guided Practice (follow me): Pronunciation and spelling of vocabulary words.
