    Achieving Gold Standards with Old Standards : A Holistic Approach

    Type : Clinical Review .

    Abstract : There is no such thing as alternative medicine .There is medicine that works and medicine that does not work . Though Medical Sciences has progressed a leap ahead , unconventional methods are yet believed and implicated with wide acceptance . Problems such as deformities of Oral cavity , plaques and infections were managed in ancient India through Ayurveda ( included in shalakya tantra ) , Acupuncture, a traditional Chinese modality , Homeopathy and Unani have still mass belief . Publicity and further development and research would benefit the general population by giving more confidence in ancient practices , thus preventing tooth decay and loss through holistic approach .
