Categories Navigation and Organization of Pages

Reflection and Artifacts

Exceeds -links to pages and documents all are live and integrated into content -navigation through pages is seamless and user does not get lost -organization of pages lends itself to content and metaphor -there is a clear guide for how to work through the ePortfolio -artifacts are organized based on central themes/metaphor -reflection is more than course-bycourse analysis but instead links artifacts and reflections to bigger themes of learning in the program and in practice -theme/metaphor is relevant to students learning and direct linkages are made -metaphor is mirrored in the design and style of the pages -rationale of metaphor is evident and concise -free of grammatical/spelling errors -writing is clear and interesting -references correctly

Meets -links to pages and documents are live -navigation through pages is logical -pages are organized in a logical fashion

Approaching -most links are live -navigation through pages is not clear -pages are organized but could be done in a more appropriate way

Theme and Metaphor

-artifacts are organized in a logical fashion, but dont support the metaphor in any meaningful way -reflection is meaningful but there may be too many/few artifacts and links to learning outside of the program may not be evident -links to metaphor are clear and logical -metaphor is clearly laid out by the author, but direct linkages between design and metaphor are not made

-artifacts are organized only by course with no central themes -reflection is based mostly on course content and not on practice

-only superficial links to metaphor without any clear reasoning/rationale as to inclusion of images/content

Writing

-few grammatical/spelling errors -writing style is clear -references cited and included in reference

-some grammatical/spelling errors -writing may be confusing at times -some references

Technology

TQS Competencies

cited within work and reference list -breadth and depth of technological tools is explicitly demonstrated and discussed -philosophy behind technology used is evidenced -exceeds TQS expectations for a capstone experience by including additional aspects particular to the MET program at UBC in a meaningful way

list -technological tools/learning is evidenced but not explicitly discussed -some discussion of philosophy behind technological tools -fully meets TQS expectations

may be missing or incorrect -little reference to specific types of technological tools -little reference to technological philosophy

-meets most aspects of TQS expectations for a capstone experience -connections may not be clear or linkages may be weak
