Who inspired you to become a DJ? I think its got to be getting into it, finding your own brake through because everyone does it differently, its so hard to get recognized, but the feeling of finally being recognized is one I couldnt describe to you; its the best thing in the world. For me it was media, internet, YouTube and sites like Veimo, posting constant videos sharing them no matter what people say, and in the end, I caught somebodys eye, and now Im in a magazine, which I appreciate by the way guys!! From now on, Im only going up. What is your favorite music genre? House, ALL DAY. How did you start out? Do you have any tips for beginners? Erm. well I did it the hard, stupid way at first. I bought the equipment I could buy, not realizing how hard and complicated it is. The tip Ill give is the one I wish I received, start small. Buy the beginner equipment, and learn the basics before you try and jump in the deep end. What equipment are you currently using? Well, Now Im using the Pioneer Nexus Platinum edition, which are f***ing awesome. As soon as I used them I knew it was worth the money. I dont see myself using anything else for a long time, Id highly recommend them. What do you find hardest about the music industry? Well when I was growing up, it was all pop, and then all of a sudden, the likes of like Swedish house mafia, David Guetta, Hardwell and Martin Garrix all burst onto the scene around about the same time for me. It wasnt really one artist who inspired me, it was more the way music transformed from one year to the next, from mainstream pop to deep house. I love it, it was something Id never heard before. At what age did you know you wanted to be a DJ? Well, I didnt really realize I wanted to be a DJ until I was about 14, but from like the age of 12 I knew I wanted to be in the music industry, I tried almost everything until I found that one thing that was for me. I tried guitar, piano, drums, the lot, and then I found DJing. I always thought Id end up being on the radio or something, not like, my songs, but presenting. That was always an ambition of mine since I found music. I remember going to see Rihanna, and Calvin Harris was supporting her, and the way he made the crowd bounce was just f***ing epic, I loved it, and I thought, I want to make people feel how I feel right now.
