This thesis studied the production of laccase enzyme isolated from the fungus Fusarium oxysporum C1 and its effect on human laryngeal carcinoma (Hep-2) cells. The author, S. Arul Diana Christie, conducted the research under the guidance of Dr. S. Shanmugam at the Research and Development Centre of Bharathiar University in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India to fulfill the requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology.
