equations.

• For warm-up activity the students will answer the check
skills you’ll need.
• Review the answer in class.

2. Statement of use the distributive property when combining like terms


Objectives • use the distributive property when solving multi-steps
equations.

3. Teacher Input • Review in class: 15 min


1. Distributive Property over:
a. addition
b. subtraction
Teach in class
1. solving multi-step equations
2. using distributive property to combine like terms
3. using distributive property to solve equations

4. Guided Practice • Show in class illustrative examples and discuss the 10 min
solution using the website www. SchoolMathPrep.com
• Appropriate praises and proper motivation will be given
to the students.

5. Independent • Ask the students to go to the board and work on some 25 min
Practice
problems, allowing interaction among student – student.
• The students will answer the self – assessment provided
in the website.
• Provide students with extra problems to work with.
