6 Session Math-Spring
This 6part series will give educators the opportunity to take off their teacher hats and become the students. The sessions will follow the progression of the unit, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions from kindergarten through grades 5. The focus during each session will be on having teachers step into the role of students, temporarily forgetting whatever theyve previously learned about each topic, and experiencing it the way the Common Core Standards intend for it to be learned. Session 1: The Unit Session 2: Addition Session 3: Subtraction Session 4: Multiplication Session 5: Division Session 6: Fractions Since each subsequent session will build on the information presented in the one(s) prior to it, teachers (of Grades K-5) are encouraged to attend all 6 of the sessions.
