Carpenters Local Union 152 Endorses Manuel Lopez For San Joaquin County Supervisor District 4
Carpenters cite Lopezs focus on bringing quality jobs to San Joaquin County, as well as his experience in County Government as main reasons for endorsement.

Ripon- Manuel Lopez, the former Chief Administrative Officer for San Joaquin County, today announced that the Carpenters Local Union 152 has endorsed his campaign to become the next San Joaquin County Supervisor for District 4. "Carpenters are proud to support Manuel Lopez as the next County Supervisor for District 4, said Carpenters Representative Lisa Vigil. We know Manuel will work hard with all parties involved to bring good, career-track jobs here locally for the working men and women of San Joaquin County. Manuel's experience as San Joaquin's longest serving County Administrator will allow him to hit the ground running once elected. We are supporting Manuel Lopez on June 3rd, and urge the voters of District 4 to do the same." Manuel Lopez retired in 2013 as the longest serving County Administrative Officer in the history of San Joaquin County Government. As County Administrator, Manuel earned accolades for leading the County through the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, receiving praise from both County Supervisors and labor leaders as he fought to keep county finances steady and cuts to county employees and services minimal. Manuel is a veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Fresno State University. He has been married to his wife Sylvia, for 38 years. Together, they have four children and seven grandchildren, all of whom are proud to call San Joaquin County their home.
