This approach also allows students to have a greater input in activities and create content. This stage is essential for building students understanding and knowledge of the topic. Constructive- The use of brainstorming before each lesson using various methods of ICT allow students prior knowledge to be re stimulated and enables them to tackle new concepts and add to their schema. Authentic- This project embodies authenticity as the learning area of science is about exploring the world we live in and making sense of things around us. The core focus on sustainability and human impacts, makes students actively involved in the world in which they live. Cooperative- The activities focus on partnered learning and small groups. This allows students to share ideas, work collaboratively and build social skills. Intentional- the emphasis on student focused activities, allows students to have control of their learning, work at their own pace and builds on social responsibility.
