How our project is underpinned by established learning theories.

When planning our four lessons we considered Gardeners Multiple Intelligences which enables us to cater for the diverse learning needs within our classroom. We decided to use ICT brainstorming tools which enables us to cater for students who are visual /spatial learners as these students learn best when they can make visual connections between information. This is why we have incorporated Bubbl Us and Spider Scribe in our lessons. Spider Scribe and Bubbl Us allow the user to show relationships between terms and concepts enabling a detailed representation of a topic to be created. Google Maps has been incorporated into our lessons to cater for Mathematical/Logical learners who learn best when they are able to problem solve, reason and think mathematically. The students use Google maps to search and identify Australia States, Territories and Major cities. Mathematical Logical students will thrive on the opportunity to use their conceptual and abstract way of thinking and apply it in the geography lesson. Reference: Educational Resources. (n.d).
