ICT Integration Project Joint Statement The ICT Integration Project requires us to work in partners, or groups of three, to produce

a major teaching and learning resource using information and communication technologies (ICT). We are allowed to choose any year level and learning area, and must create a four lesson sequence containing a minimum of 3 student centred uses of ICT. The ICT Integration Project should consider how ICT is integrated into the curriculum as a learning tool, encourage the collaborative use of ICT as tools to solve problems, and to engage students in an interesting & exciting way. There are 3 components to this project: Planning, Prototyping & Publishing. The planning component requires the use of Forward Planning Document or the Lesson Plan Document to design the major teaching and learning resource. To be included: A statement of our understanding of the task A mind map of ideas and how they link to the Australian Curriculum A project plan of who is doing what and when A Forward Planning Document/Lesson Plans specifying the teaching & learning experience A statement about the integration of the ICT within the lessons A statement about the underlying learning theories present in the lesson Prototyping requires us to prepare a 30 minute activity, taken from any lesson of our ICT Integration Project that highlights the use of ICT. It should show sound learning of objectives and good practice in effective integration of ICT. The audience must be engaged and actively participating in the lessons, and should be considering how ICT contributed to the learning experience. The final component, publishing, requires the use of an ICT, such as Weebly, to publish the major teaching and learning resource online. We need to creatively design a unit that encompasses the four sequential lessons that ingrate a minimum of 3 ICT uses as learning tools; learning theory must be established within the design. The URL must be posted on Learnit by the due date for assessment.
