We welcome County Executive Prestons assistance in our efforts to keep our community safe and fight PWDDs plan. We have !een meeting with the "overnors ffice on a regular !asis to address the issues and accomplish three goals# $. Protect our community from potentially dangerous individuals who aren%t ready to !e released. We strongly !elieve there is not enough capacity in the statewide system to accommodate the num!er of individuals who have a history of !ehavioral pro!lems that will continue to need institutional care. &. Ensure the !est 'uality of care and service for those transitioning into the community. (. Preserve hundreds of essential local )o!s at the BDC. We won%t stop fighting until the )o! is done.
