CHANGING EDUCATION PARADIGMS In this clip Changing education paradigms, Sir Ken Robinson (2010) provide compelling reasons

for the need of reform our currently public education system. Sir Robinson deals with the idea that public schools with their curricula and aims towards children education nowadays are obsolete. The fact of being under an outdated public education system has a particularly negative effect to ensure equality of opportunity when it comes to teach our kids. This fact causes the alienation of the majority of the population. The argument behind this major idea is that the currently institution of public education is based in a totally different social, economic and intellectual context, inspired in Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution. Sir Robinson maintains that times are changing and our children are used to learning under a intensely stimulated environment. According to him, undoubtedly the challenge lies in the removal of this education system where children with different intelligence can be given the choice of stimulate their creativity. To sum up, with these arguments, Sir Robinson argues that the institution of public education should be moving toward the direction of encouraging divergent thinking going beyond standardization and the lack of flexibility.
