TYPES OF PV
DEFINITIONS
Pressure vessel: A container designed to withstand internal or external pressure. Design pressure 15 psi (103 kPa). Used in most processes in a refinery or petrochemical plant. Common types: Columns (tinggi vertikal), towers, drums (horizontal, untuk penyimpanan), reactors, heat exchangers, condensers, air coolers, bullets (seperti drum, tetapi pressurenya lebih tinggi), spheres, and accumulators Various Shape: Cylindrical (horizontal & vertical), spherical, spheroidal, boxed, or lobed Types of support attached to the shell: steel columns, cylindrical plate skirts, or plate lugs.

HEAD TYPES
Ellipsoidal Head
Hemispherical Head
COMPONENTS
Horizontal drum/column
Fire proofing: material support pressure vessel. Berguna untuk menahan pressure vessel agar tidak runtuh dan tidak menyebabkan ekskalasi fire. Jika ada kebakaran, isi dari vessel tidak akan ikut terpengaruh runtuhnya vessel.
