Bosch Camera Limitations with LNVR

This document includes limitations for Bosch cameras operating under OnGuard. For a list of Bosch cameras and their supported features for each version of LNVR, refer to the Video Tools section of the Customer Self-Service Center on the Lenel Web site: https://customer.lenel.com/?q=var/video-tools. All Supported Bosch Camera Models

The following limitations exist in OnGuard for all supported Bosch Camera Models. The ability to rotate the camera image for Bosch cameras is not supported. The time-lapse feature is not currently supported for Bosch cameras. Exporting video in .asf format is not supported for Bosch cameras. Video search and IntelligentVideo are not supported for Bosch cameras. Displaying video in the Barco Video Wall is not supported for Bosch cameras. Bosch cameras are not included in the Storage Calculator application due to high data fluctuation for Bosch camera models. The recorded frame rate for Bosch cameras is the same as the live frame rate even if a different frame rate is specified in OnGuard. The event recording frame rate is the same as the live frame rate. Event recording frame rate is not supported for Bosch cameras since the recording fps is determined by the live fps. When play is pressed after video has been stopped it may take some time for the video playback to resume. When the password is set from the camera Web page, LNVR services must be restarted. Only the service username is supported by OnGuard for connecting to Bosch cameras. The Communications Access Denied alarm is not supported for Bosch camera models when the password configured in OnGuard does not match the password configured on the Bosch camera. Changing the playback speed is not supported for Bosch camera models. The Frame Rate Limit configured on the Performance dialog in Alarm Monitoring is not supported for Bosch camera models. Direct connect is not supported for Bosch camera models. If the camera password configured on the Security tab in System Administration is blank or incorrect, a Communication Lost alarm will occur in Alarm Monitoring instead of a Communication Access Denied alarm. If this issue exists, the Communication Lost alarm will occur every 10 seconds. The Live and Continuous Recording check boxes should be selected. If both check boxes are not selected, LNVR downloads may fail.

Bosch VideoJet 8008

The following limitations exist in OnGuard for the Bosch VideoJet 8008 camera model. It takes 3 seconds for video to be displayed in Alarm Monitoring from the Bosch VideoJet 8008 camera. This issue also exists in System Administration when the video preview feature is used on the camera configuration form. Video images in high resolution from the Bosch VideoJet 8008 camera have a green line displayed in the bottom of the image. When video is unplugged from the Bosch VideoJet 8008 camera, the video player may on rare occasion display looping video. This is a limitation specific to the Bosch 8008 server. When the Bosch VideoJet 8008 server goes offline and then comes back online, none of the cameras are available in Alarm Monitoring and the LNVR must be restarted. This is a limitation specific to the Bosch VideoJet 8008 server. When the LNVR that a Bosch VideoJet 8008 server is connected to goes offline and then comes back online, none of the Bosch VideoJet 8008 cameras are available in Alarm Monitoring. This is a limitation specific to the Bosch VideoJet 8008 Server.

Bosch Dinion NWC-0495

The following limitation exists in OnGuard for the Bosch Dinion 0495 camera model. A shadow effect may be visible on the Bosch Dinion NWC-0495 camera when Dynamic Noise Reduction is set to on. To remove the shadow effect, disable Dynamic Noise Reduction on the camera Web page at Camera Settings > Camera Profile > Enhance.
