Staff, Tomorrow during Warrior Hour we will be quickly finishing our discussions you left off on with your

groups. You will be in the same groups as last time and in the same locations. I have attached in an email the directions which are still the same as last time. In addition to discussion wrap up we will be promoting The Warrior Way with the following activity.

#wapsie The Warrior Way TweetUp!

Staff and Students, In an effort to continue our The Warrior Way campaign, we will be have a friendly TweetUp competition for the remainder of the week! If you do not know what a TweetUp is here is a quick definition: A face-to-face meeting of Twitter users often times used to introduce each other, but sometimes used to discuss a topic or idea. For our purposes, we will put our own spin on it by using The Warrior Way as our topic. Here is an an explanation and how we will accomplish this!

#wapsie The Warrior Way TweetUp!

Who: All staff and students at Wapsie Valley JH/HS who want to participate What: A friendly TweetUp competition among 7th-12th grade classes to see who can promote The Warrior Way the most! The class who contributes the most to the TweetUp will receive a prize at 3:00 on Friday, March 21st! Where: Wapsie Valley JH/HS When: March 19th-21st, ending at 3:00 on the 21st

Why: Our goal is to promote The Warrior Way and the positive influence it has had on our district through social media and sharing when we see these traits being modeled on a daily basis. How: Participants need to do the following for each Tweet for the Tweet Up: 1. For the remainder of the week when you see people modeling any of the traits of The Warrior Way, hear someone talking about it, or notice things around the buildings and communities, post a tweet following these directions: a. Attach #wapsie b. Tag @wapsievalleycsd c. Add one of the following hashtags depending on which The Warrior Way trait is being represented in your Tweet: i. #beresponsible ii. #berespectful iii. #bekind iv. #besafe

v. #alwaysdoyourbest d. Keep these in mind as you participate: i. Pictures are accepted from around the building 1. Reminder to not take pictures in restrooms/locker rooms 2. Reminder to not take pictures of people without their consent. ii. Keep things positive!!!

Be positive and share all the great things from our school! We hope everyone has fun with this and helps to promote The Warrior Way while modeling it at the same time. Remember the 7th-12th class who contributes most to the TweetUp will win a prize on Friday!
