ENGAGE IN RESEARCH-INFORMED PRACTICE AND PRACTICE-INFORMED RESEARCH

6.1 USE PRACTICE EXPERIENCE TO INFORM SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY


Social workers use practive experience to inform research, employ evidence-based interventions, evaluate their own practice, and use research findings to improve practice, policy, and social delivery. Social workers comprehend quantitative and qualitiative research and understand scientific and ethical approaches to building knowledge.

I was in attendance of a meeting where a conversation took place concerning the increased deaths of infants within the county at the hand of fathers: secondary caregivers.

6.2 USE RESEARCH EVIDENCE TO INFORM PRACTICE


After learning of these occurrences, I talked with my supervisor about how to get important facts that most primary caregivers are aware of to secondary caregivers.

TWO POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

An informative bill board Informative Posters directed to inform fathers against possible dangers when caring for infants posted in various locations around the community.
