Holland, Mich.--Holland drivers will experience one of the worst pothole seasons to occur throughout March and April of 2014. They are expected to be at their worst in the month of April. Drivers are encouraged to take caution when driving in the Ottawa and Allegan area. Scott Boeve, the superintendent of the streets in Holland expects the potholes to be fixed sometime in the Summer. Potholes are a problem that can and do occur anytime of the year, but the worst of the pothole season should be by us by the middle of April. More permanent repairs that include the use of hot asphalt, will extend well into the summer construction season. In the meantime, potholes should be avoided when possible until repairs can be completed. Many local drivers have been dealing with the issue of potholes, taking caution not to damage their cars. So the next best way is to slow down when going over the hole. Repairs will begin when the roads have completely thawed out. As for now it will be months before the repairs on the potholes are completed.
